I had to empty it (had a worker doing the harvesting) every 3/4 of a row, and the only tipper I had that could run beets was a 20k litre unit, so I had to frequently dump that as well. The problem with the basic beet harvester is it only holds only 6000 litres. I made the mistake of doing my largest field in them, as I wasn't expecting just how much volume you get. I've never done beets before, and Lawfolds starts you out with a basic beet harvester setup (the units that just go on a tractor.) I just started a new game on Lawfolds using the Seasons mod. Not sure about sugarcane yet that don't require re-seeding. Of course, that takes extra time too, but perhaps still less time than the time consuming potato/beet. The guide also says that if you sell baled straw after barley/wheat they beat other crops per acre. However the conveyors take time to set up and you are still subject to price fluctuation between fermentations. It is debatable if selling silage through conveyor belts at biogas can be comparable since chaffed corn on the same acreage should produce more silage than wrapped grass. Better yet you can even do it on the non-field land. You can easily get hundreds of bales from a large field, especially if you cut the grass multiple times before harvesting once. So considering that, and putting aside gimmicks like running the game on fast for days with a bunch of wind generators, I personally believe the fastest way to make money to fund the expensive stuff so you actually get to do some farming is selling silage bales made from grass, since each bale sells for $2600 around and the price never changes. takes real time, even when using Course Play. A lot of that you'll spend in accelerated time but setting up the equipment etc. To me what counts is the real time it takes to process a field, from planting to selling.
